There is a moment every morning at Villa Karina that our guests tell us they miss most once they are home: the first coffee in the garden, with the sun coming through the trees and the whole beach day still ahead. Our family has been welcoming guests in Agia Paraskevi since 1981, and breakfast has always been at the heart of it.
A slow morning in a Skiathos garden
Our café sits in the middle of the garden at Villa Karina, just 150 metres from the beaches of Agia Paraskevi and Kolios. Breakfast is served every day from 8 am to 11 am, so there is no need to set an alarm. Take a table in the shade, order when you are ready and let the morning unfold at island pace.
Freshly prepared, à la carte
We don’t do a buffet. Every breakfast is prepared fresh when you order from our à la carte menu. Start with creamy Greek yogurt with honey and walnuts, a colourful fruit bowl or warm porridge with berries. Or go for a full breakfast plate with fluffy scrambled eggs, cheese, ham, tomatoes, cucumber and olives, served with toast and croissants. Fancy something different? Try our avocado toast with poached egg or fluffy pancakes with fresh fruit. Our guests often mention our homemade cakes in their reviews – and they go perfectly with a second coffee.
Coffee worth getting up for
Good coffee matters to us. We serve espresso-based coffee, from a classic cappuccino with latte art to a freddo espresso, the iced coffee every Greek summer runs on. Many guests come back to the café later in the morning for one more cup before heading to the beach.
Not staying with us? You are welcome too
The café is open until 1 pm, and guests from outside Villa Karina are very welcome. If you are staying nearby in Agia Paraskevi or Kolios, stop by for breakfast or a coffee on your way to the beach.
From coffee to cocktails
When the café closes at 1 pm, the garden takes a break – and at 5 pm it comes back to life as our bar. Until 11 pm you can enjoy a glass of wine, a cold beer, a gin & tonic or an Aperol Spritz under the trees, the perfect end to a day at the beach.
